Rose Hill petition

Rail Strike

A reminder that the RMT planned strike on Mon 13th March is still going ahead and there will be severe disruption on the Northern local rail network.  It’s over plans to remove door opening and closing duties from guards.

Friends of Marple Station restore Miss Marple covers

Friends of Marple Station have recently restored versions of these covers with a more durable material, made and donated by a local firm Matthew James publishing.  These replaced ones erected in association with Marple’s 150 anniversary last year that suffered with our winter weather.

Marple Station reopens

Reddish Viaduct renewed courtesy Network Rail Extensive works last week are complete and the rail link from the Hope Valley to Manchester via Marple and Reddish North is now restored.
