The area that is often called “Grand Central” just by the station in Stockport is undergoing a major development. The next phase has started recently and and will bring some temporary disruption to access when a section of the road bringing traffic to the front of the station will be closed to traffic. This began on 9th January.
The whole project is due to be complete in late 2016. It will bring a 115 bedroom Holiday Inn and a 50,000 sq ft grade A office building, with ground floor retail space to the site.
