Stockport Exchange taking shape!

Stockport Exchange is the new development around Stockport Station. There is quite a transformation taking place and now visible in the area. The new taxi rank for the station is now open on the Wellington Road side of the Station and the new buildings are virtually complete ready for a hotel and retail outlets.
The project will bring new jobs to Stockport and make the station better served and a great stop off place for main line passengers – an alternative to Manchester!

There is not enough room for short term parking while meeting people at the station with all the new building.
Thanks Janet, and you’re right. However, if you go to the Edgeley side of the station there is nearly always free short term parking available there, and there are ticket machines at that end if your dropping someone off.
