As part of the £100m road improvement plans (started by the Lib Dems) two major roads will be relaid: Town St in Marple Bridge, followed soon after by Stockport Road in Marple.  To keep disruption to a minimum all councillors have been consulted and works are proposed in January.

As preparatory work in Marple Br there will be some drainage improvement works in Nov, around the Hollins Lane junction.  I will keep you posted.

On Mon 24th Oct, people working for United Utilities will be undertaking works to replace two manhole frames and covers on Church Lane, Marple, between the junctions of Church Street and Chapel Houses.  The road will be closed between 09:30 and 3:30 and diversion will be signposted.
