After the last budget, be aware that there is now a cost for parking low-emission vehicles in council-run public car parks. This was not well publicised, and one of our residents fell fowl of this and had a parking fine.
Basically, you will need to apply for a period pass permit (or just pay the normal car park fees) – an old licence disc will not do. Charges:
Zero-emission cars (electric cars) – £10 for 12 month pass
Band A vehicles (hybrids, etc) – £360 for 12 months or £180 for 6 months.

We have a Vauxhall Corsa, my husband is the driver. He is a blue badge holder. What of the above applies?
Rest assured, blue badge holders are unaffected.
