Great and peaceful marches last Sun in Manchester near the Tory conference.  Tens of thousand attended various rallies and speakers came from all political parties (including the Conservatives) and none.

Some inventive slogans – “Brexit is bananas”, “Je suis saboteur” and “Inclusive not exclusive”.

We were also reminded that of the whole population only 37% voted to leave, and 16/17-year-olds and Brits living abroad were excluded from the vote.  And then there was the £350 million lie.

Lib Dems are strong on this issue: we want a second referendum on the outcome of negotiations, which frankly seem to be faltering.  The absolute best the UK can do it get the same trade arrangements as now, and worse protection for things like air pollution, workers rights and our influence in the world.  Why do it?
