Good news for Marple. Stockport (awarded Town of Culture) will see the Tour of Britain here, and it will be coming through Marple on 3rd Sept.

There will unfortunately be light-controlled roadworks – BT on Brabyns Brow on 19th Sept (almost a complete set of utilities now, but at least this is planned) and United Utilities on 12th Aug on Otterspool Road.

Back to good news: not only was there an arrest re the recent Co-op robbery but a 19-year-old has been arrested re recent motor bike activities In Marple.
