We’d like to alert all residents to this. We’ve had case of a resident being approached by a company claiming they’d paid too much Council tax and asking for an upfront fee to get their Council Tax reduced. No one outside the Council would ever know how much Council tax you pay and any contact about Council Tax will always come direct from the Council and not by phone. Please be careful and if this happens to you report it to your Council office.
