In this day and age it is not unreasonable to expect to pay for car parking, particularly in areas where there is a great need.
The two car parks at the station should make a reasonable charge for anybody parking there – on a time scale basis. The train passengers benefit from the Greater Manchester subsidies( reflected in their fares), so a car park charge could not be claimed to be unreasonable.
The charges at the Midland car park should be in line with the station after a free 2 hour period.

It says in your keeping in touch newsletter that there is a survey for parking but I can’t see it anywhere?

  3. Ian says:

The free parking spaces outside the Royal Scot pub should be removed as they cause too much traffic congestion.
