Roads in Marple will be closed to traffic for the Marple Carnival taking place on Saturday 18th June 2016.
– Oldknow Road for the full length
– Stockport Road from Oldknow Road to Hibbert Lane
– Hibbert Lane from Stockport Road to Buxton Lane
– Buxton Lane for the full length
– Cross Lane for the full length
– Stockport Road from Cross Lane to Oldknow Road
– Oldknow Road from Stockport Road to Lockside
A rolling closure will be in place between 13:00 and 14:30 via the above route. Pedestrian Access will be maintained at all times.
Also contractors working on behalf of Stockport Council will be undertaking highway drainage repairs on Andrew Street, Compstall, between the junctions of George Street and Rollins Lane. These works are scheduled to take place from 15th June to 24th June and will require the use of temporary traffic signals between 09:30 and 15:30 only.
Longhurst Lane will have roads works around Knowle Road on 25/26 June and then near Hollins Lane on 27 June to 3 July, both with temporary traffic lights.
