There is a bit of road works around Marple in the coming weeks.  All these will have temporary traffic lights.  Please allow extra time for travelling.

As part of the £100m improvement of roads, starting on 23rd Sept for 3 weeks, there will be road resurfacing around Hollins Lane (Marple) and Station Road.

On Station Road (at the junction with Stockport Road) United Utilities will be replacing a pipe, but this is just on Sun 20th Sept.

They are also replacing a leaking main on Town St that is due to finish on 18th Sept.

Further up Glossop Road there will be replacement electrical pole work between Cote Green Road and Ley Lane on 22nd Sept

And finally Hollins Lane (Marple Bridge this time) will be closed at the junction with Town St on 25th/26th Sept for British Telecom.  This is to avoid temp. lights on the busy Town St and traffic is diverted via Ley Lane and Glossop Road.
